Tat Soi seedlings [pronounced “that SOY”]

Nutritional Value: The dark green leaves are high in beta-carotene and Vitamins A, C, and K; they also have good amounts of calcium, potassium, phosphorous and iron.

How to use Tat Soi: 

  • delicious sautéed with a little sesame oil or slightly wilted in stir fries
  • can be mixed with other lettuces to enhance the appearance, flavor, and nutritional value of salad
  • added to soups toward the end of their cooking- the heat of the broth will cook the chopped leaves sufficiently
  • chopped into small pieces and served in oils used for dipping, or to compliment other foods. It’s great with chicken and fish!
